Presentation of the Integrated/Classical Preparatory Cycle (CPI-C) sector

Option1: Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) Engineering

Option 2: Process and Industrial Systems Engineering (PSI)

General presentation

It is an integrated preparatory cycle which lasts 2 years, allows POLYTECH Monastir students to acquire the knowledge necessary to build engineering skills and continue studies in the school's engineering sectors. It contributes to the acquisition of a methodology and a pace of work based on the most advanced and concrete lessons in mathematics, physics, chemistry, computer science based on practical work and mini projects is completed through solid training in a foreign language.

Admission Requirement

The integrated preparatory cycle (CPI-C) is open to all baccalaureate graduates from the Mathematics, Experimental Sciences, Technical Sciences and Computer Sciences sections and any other diploma deemed equivalent. Admission to the 2nd year of the preparatory cycle is open for students who have successfully completed their 1st year of the preparatory cycle or in a diploma deemed equivalent.

Training aims

The objective of the training is to develop scientific skills in students which will enable them to become future engineers by offering them the best working conditions to increase their level of knowledge through teaching which constitutes the scientific, technical and humanist necessary for the specialty departments of the engineering cycle The general nature of the 1st cycle training is essential to give, to all engineers at POLYTECH Monastir, a solid core of skills and knowledge which allows them, whatever their specialty, to reorient during your career. .

Organization of studies

Training in the integrated preparatory cycle lasts two years, spread over four semesters. Progression to the next year is made on the basis of grades obtained during the year. Knowledge acquisition is continuously monitored through written, oral and/or practical tests. At least one control test and one supervised assignment per semester are organized for each of the subjects taught. In addition, all subjects are subject to a written examination at the end of each semester.

Passing condition

The class council meets at the end of each semester to evaluate the students' results on a case-by-case basis. It decides, based on the annual average and the student's abilities during the year, on the transition from the first year to the second year of the preparatory cycle. He also has the latitude to assign a zero mark to any absence from a continuous assessment test or semester exam.
